Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy

Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTiR) is an optical method used to characterize material composition with respect to functional groups. It is often used for quality control and comparison testing to verify that two samples have the same composition, as well as to determine if there are any contaminants and identify what they may be.

  • KBr / Ge coated beamsplitter (7800-350 cm-1)
  • 0.8 cm‾¹ Standard Resolution

Sample Requirements

Sample must be of a solid phase or liquid phase material.
